The vampires

The myth:

The myth spread in Europe in the XIVth century during a period of plague. Gilles of Rais and Vlad Tepes were big criminals in the XVth century. The vampire comes out at night to feed upon the humans by sucking their blood.

 The characteristic of a vampire:

A vampire has got long finger nails, fangs, a white shirt, a cape, he is agressive and evil.

He can disappear and turn into a bat, a rat, a cat.

He can't enter in a house exept when he is the guest. He must sleep in a coffin during the day. He lives in a castle. He has no family.

He hates garlic, holy crosses, crucifixes, holy water, mirors and silver.

He likes blood, women, night and darkness.

He hasn't got a shadow and he hasn't got a reflection in a miror.

Adaptation:

There are many books, films and series on vampires.

Exemples : series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, film Nosferatu by Murmau, book Dracula by Bram Stocker 1897.

 I-Adaptations filmiques

 INTRODUCTION :

 They are many adaptation of Dracula at the cinema.

The first adaptation was Nosferatu by F.W Murnau in 1922.

DETAIL :

 1. The Dracula in Nosferatu is ugly, pale and stocky. He has got long pointy ears, dark eyes and long fingernails. His super abilities are that he can go very fast, he's very strong and discreet. His weak point is the crucifixes.

 2. The Dracula interpreted by Bela Lugosi is realistical, more handsome, he can talk and he is elegant (cape,sunt). His super abilities are that he can hypnotyze his victims. He's also more seductive. His weak point is the crucifixes and his ennemy is Van Helsing.

 3. The Dracula interpreted by Christopher Lee is terryfing: more violent and agressive.The music is funereal, eerie, continuous and fast. Other detail: he has got a female vampire partner. He's more credible. His super abilities are that he's very strong.

 A fantastic creature is something that is not real,there are several types of fantastic creatures :

nasty monster, kind, half-human... The fantastic creatures exist in every countries of the world, china, France… In European countries, the monsters are kind of magical, in western countries it is more like the dragons, ghost...

"Within stood a tall old man, clean-shaven save for a white moustache and clad in black from head to foot.

The fact that it seemed cold as ice, like the hand of dead man.

His face was a very strong aquiline, with peculiarly arched nostrils and hair growing scantily round the temples but profusely elsewhere.

 His eyebrowns were massive, almost meeting over the nose. The mouth, was rather cruel looking, with peculiary sharp with teeth that protruded over the lips.

 His ears where pale, and atthe tops extremely pointed.
